Hi,

I'm an experienced Max user getting into Pd for the first time. I'm doing fairly well so far, but the number one thing that's slowing me down is not being able to find the object I want. Has anyone super-helpful ever made a table with Pd objects and their nearest Max equivalent? It would make life so much easier for people like myself!

start here maybe http://puredata.info/docs/tutorials under Pd for Max users. As it mentions, an important difference is that in pd the order of execution does not depend on where the objects are placed.

there's a spreadsheet a little ways down that has some comparisons but in general check the cyclone library. (the author mentions the spreadsheet may contain errors)
In general pd has fewer built-in objects

nice one, shall check it out. i'm well aware there's no easy answers here. my brain's max object database took some years to establish, so i'm sure the same is ultimately required.
