Hi everyboy, a very noob question here.
I'm using pd 0.43.4-extended on windows 8 and I would like to use the [peak~] object into a patch. I found out that this object is part of the "flib" library which is not included in the last version of pure data.

Is it what I'm looking for? If so, where should I paste that file in order to have the [peak~] object available? How to "include" the flib library?

...is it even possible to do something like that?

edit: check out peakit~ in ekext, fiddle~ and sigmund~ also have peak-finding functions

Nope, not unless you can unpack it with rpm. you can try to compile from source:
http://sourceforge.net/p/pure-data/svn/HEAD/tree/trunk/externals/postlude/flib/
the way to do this would be to install svn and make, change to some directory that you want the source of pd in, and then

svn checkout svn://svn.code.sf.net/p/pure-data/svn/trunk pure-data-svn

in the command prompt? (haven't used windows in years)
navigate to the right directory and hack at the build system
Be warned: there was probably a reason this library got removed other than that there was no maintainer.
