Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows how to sync the beginning of a vline~ to the very next audio block (specifically to use with the clear message to rpole~). amazingly negative delays work for it's first list in, but after that if I supply negative values it doesn't work, even if they are > the first negative delay.
I would rather not have to delay by an extra block but I suppose I could

also does anyone know of an external to give the current position in a block? seems a waste of cpu to use bang~
edit: here's a patch illustrating what I want to accomplish
2nd edit: actually I'll just use line~ and play the sample for a multiple of blocksize length but I'm still curious
3rd: I could also put a vline~ after that to make the difference I guess
