Hello,
I'm new to this forum and relatively new to pd.
Currently I am in a pre-year for a bachelor education composition and music technology in the Netherlands. For the pas 8 months we have been working with pure data so i learned some of the basics.
For our last assignment (one that will more or less determine if you get accepted to the bachelor) we have to combine audio design and software. So we have to record some acoustic instruments and prefereably process them with patches we wrote ourselves in pure data. Fact is, i have been working on a midi patch, it was a beatmasher/looper that sends midi notes to loopslices in an external daw. But havent really got into the audio part, let alone creating effects.
For my project i would like to make a rather advanced reverb (so not the [freeverb] object because i feel you cant adjust it that much) or a delay that has multiple controls in it, feedback, dry wet, tempo etc.
But there are two things that would really be great. The first one is to make a patch that can filter certain frequencies out or let them pass through, so you can, let's say, filter harmonics from a recorder guitar.
And last but not least, i ran into a spectral delay patch just now and that would just be the best thing i can imagine, only i realise that just might be a little too far out of reach.
Now to get down to my question; I would like to know where i can find some tutorials or info how to make one or more of these effects, and any other advice is welcome as well.
