Just try the attached patch. ..sounds terrible..
As far as I remember correctly it was said that [dac~] only works with a blocksize of 64 samples.
But it seems that the [dac~] rather dislikes to work in a SUBpatch with, in relation to its parent, smaller blocksize (of 64).

So [dac~] likes the MAIN-patch with the normal blocksize most!...

..is this true so far..?!

i get the same error.

for this reason, and also as general clean patching practice, i always only use dac~ in the top patch at standard block size.

is there anything that you want to do that can't be done like that?

..as far as I know: No...
...but if it was working it would simpligy some situations. Rightnow one has to route all audio to the toplevel, thats all...

By time I got used to do workarounds in pd, I liked MacGyver when I was a child, so that's not a big problem... but if it was just working, that would be fine either..

..and no, Pd is not that bugged, as might sound (some externals are etc)..
