Hi everyone,

I am looking for help, to solve my problem with pure data and my audio interface. I am using PD as life performing software, and I need to use my external audio interface for better quality and avoid sound delay.
Interface I am using, is zoom R24 recorder with interface and some other stuff. PD can find it easy and it use no problem as sound output device, but once I set up input to use mic, it cut the sound off, and mic have no sight of life... I was trying different drivers, and possibilities to turn mic on, but no luck...
Is there anyway how I could use it as audio input and output for life performing... Maybe I need some special drivers, or use special commands to turn it on?
My internal audio card works fine, and the setup as internal audio card as input, and output to external interface works also... But once I switch, no signals! What should I do?!

No one can help me? Its simple, I have Zoom R24 8 in 2 out channels recorder and interface device. Pure Data can see it, out put of both channels is working, but 8 channels input not. Do I need patch, or driver, or run in under special command???

Don't know if it will help, but try setting the number of inputs and outputs to be the same value in the Audio Settings dialog. In other words, set the both to 8 (or 2, whatever you need). PortAudio seems to prefer those numbers to be the same.

Well I started pure data with dos which shows errors, and found interesting thing. Once I set up input or output to ASIO driver, it shows me these 2 errors: Invalid Sample rate (-9997) and Unanticipated host error (-9999). I tried all possible sample rates and it didn't worked, what other error means I have no idea.
Also I can use simple zoom R24 driver but that gives me -9999 error, that driver works fine in output, and if I set up input as pc internal sound card and output can be zoom R24 or pc, works fine... But when Latency problem. So I need to use fully my external audio interface...

ok I managed to fix Sample rate error, it have to fit to my device, somehow it was not, but seems to be its fine now. Still getting portaudio "Unanticipated host error (-9999)". Does anyone know how to deal with this?

well, I found the problem. Seems to be Pd-extended 0.42.5 which is latest stable version, have problems with ASIO drivers. So I downloaded Pd-extended 0.41.4 and it worked perfectly!
