I am trying to connect program called "Massive" to PD 0.42.5-extended, that I have my audio system build-ed up, and use it for life performances.

For that purpose I am using Jack for windows 64bit. It works fine with Massive, but cannot get it work with PD. It does show jack option in PD (Media>ASIO(via portaudio)>(1)JackRouter), but it doesn't appears in Jack connect option.

I did some search, and follow some advices, like same sample rate and channels number. But no luck to get it work. Using callbacks, removes JackRouter option from PD setting. I also seen some people using successfully Jack with PD on youtube. But there is no answer or clear solution how to make it work.

I know that this problem is familiar to PD community, so I thought maybe there is someone that could help me to found solution. Maybe I need some patch, or special settings on PD or Jack to make it work together.

I have device, called "mindwave", created by company Neurosky. It can catch electric signal of your brains and monitor it into program...
I figure out, that its possible to use it on pure data, and found the guy, who made external patch for it:

But I got problem, I cannot find the way, how to install it on Pd-extended. No matter what I try it keeps giving me error that it can't load library, and giving me error: np_mindset: can't open...
I send email to creator, so hope to get any answer to solve this.

If here is anyone, that might know how to make it work, please help me.

Hi everyone,

I am looking for help, to solve my problem with pure data and my audio interface. I am using PD as life performing software, and I need to use my external audio interface for better quality and avoid sound delay.
Interface I am using, is zoom R24 recorder with interface and some other stuff. PD can find it easy and it use no problem as sound output device, but once I set up input to use mic, it cut the sound off, and mic have no sight of life... I was trying different drivers, and possibilities to turn mic on, but no luck...
Is there anyway how I could use it as audio input and output for life performing... Maybe I need some special drivers, or use special commands to turn it on?
My internal audio card works fine, and the setup as internal audio card as input, and output to external interface works also... But once I switch, no signals! What should I do?!

I start use Lubuntu, Ubuntu version for laptops. All works fine. Just if I get more load on PD it gets laggy, get feeling that system cannot handle it, it takes lots of processing on windows, to get something like this. Been thinking is it possible to fix this somehow.

I have pretty good laptop (i7 quad processor, 8gb ram and good video card), and it works fine on windows. I been thinking, that linux should perform way faster and it could handle more load.

OK, I found out whats the problem, seems to be that PD 0.42.5-extended doesn't support Jack! Once I download new version of PD 0.43.4-extended, it started work fine with Jack audio. So anyone, that have this issue with PD on windows, pay attention which version you are using.

So people, I am looking now person that have experience in compiling external files in windows OS. I would be really thankful, is someone could help me deal with this problem...

So I tried that binary 1.1 like Maelstorm did, on mac osx, and it worked perfect. But I need to make it work on windows PD or on MAX!

well, I got mac os on Virtual machine, so I will try to run in from there, and see or it works. Thank you very much for help and support. I will try to find some experts that works with pd on windows and could try to compile this file, so I could use it to.
I need to see of this device really can work with pure data...

Ok, how could I use it on MAX? Because I get same error on MAX to... Also the binary file that used, is it this one np_mindset.pd_darwin? I could try to use a mac computer so it could work on it? Also how this compiling works? So is this incomplete work? How could I compile it?

OK, I am Windows XP user. What do u mean by tried 1.1 binary? I am not advanced user, so I am not really good on that. I was trying to add this external in to pure data, but it didn't worked. when I open helpfile I get this error: " np_mindset
... couldn't create", so the all thing just not working.
What should I do? Maybe you could provide me a little tutorial about it?
