I'm wondering if it's possible to program physics on a fader?
so, for example, if i were to let go of a fader as i was pushing it up it would continue sliding as if it had mass.

The pmpd library can do it.
Interesting, as i was wondering if you could have faders or sliders to act in an elasticated fasion so that once you let go they would revert back to dead center again, i presume this can be done with this library also?
thank you so much...i'm trying to recreate the behaviour of the lemur...if anyone is familiar

I think so. pmpd seems to model sets of masses and elastic links. Check out the documentation in the help browser of pd extended for more.
...if i get this to work, i'll share it here for all PD-iPad users...this machine is great for interactivity!
