is there a possibility to load *.wav - files with the http - protocol into an array? i use pure data under fedora core 5 (as root) as realtime multi-track audio player. because of problems with the userright-management in the local network, i want to load my *.wav files from a http-server. please let me know, if anybody knows a possibility. thanx a lot

[soundfiler] does not support this, and I don't think there is an external that does it either (you could write one?).

You might want to look into http://httpfs.sourceforge.net/ , which allows you to mount files from a remote http server locally (note: I've never used it, but if it works as advertised it would work well for you, I think...). You would mount the files from the server, then load them with [soundfiler] as normal, but behind the scenes the httpfs would download the files on demand.
