From september 2010 we're going to do a tour of some Belgian schools with our laptop trio called CTRL-ALT-DEL (we is Andrew Claes, Koenraad Ecker and yours truely).

For this project we're going to use 3 different applications in 3 different technologies: max, usine and pd. I've taken on the pd application, which has become some kind of samplelooper. The purpose is also that the kids afterwards can download the applications and play with them on their own computers. If you want to give the pd app a try, you can download it here:

First Impression: Wow! Pure Instantaneous Data Fun!
Following the instructions -> works like a charms here.
Nice choice of samples, GUI very well crafted (nice to see sampler canvases changing colours) !

Small question: What's the issue about putting the project in a folder differnt from C:\DEL.SAMP ?

Much much thanks Alberto for trying this out so quickly.

The thing with the folder is that the preset which loads by default, contains references to sample locations. I could've put relative paths to the application in the demo preset, which I'll probably do in a later stage, because now I'm still all the time changing things and trying out different samples.

it seems to be a nice patch, but I couldn't test it.
First I'm on mac so I don't have a c:/, but I can load sample manually or tweak the code.
My second problem is with phasorshot~, well it doesn't load. I use pd-extended 0.42.5 rc3, and I may just need to rename phasorshot~ object to tof/phasorshot~ (the help file is in the browser and it works properly).

Well I could tweak the code to make it work but it seems I can't find the guts of the patch where can I find the phasorshot object and the place were path are set ?

Mmm... I'm thinking about dropping the phasorshot~ altogether, because in the current concept it's not really useful. The guts are in the stereo.smear box (down left). The filenames are in the preset file in the presets folder.

Well of course it's there !

so everything works fine, changed path, and changed (phasorshot~) to (tof/phasorshor~), I have an ibook G4 and everything go smooth so it should work fine on old laptops (4 years or so).

It's great stuff, really fun, and well documented. Controls are simple enough to be used by kids. I really like the slicer.
