Hello All,

I can't figure out how to apply the standard 'Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth' as my default midi-output device in Pd (Win-xp || Pd version 0.40.3-extended-20080721).

That means I have to set this every time I start Pd and want midi sound, which of course I forget about more often that not. And, I know that this was/is not the case with my older laptop (similar Win-xp and Pd).

Any ideas?

Apologies in advance if I am missing something obvious.

i recently made pd finally save my audio preferences.
im not sure how.

it may have involved that "save all settings" button in "startup"

midi-settings are saved when you press <save all settings> in one of the audio-dialogs.

Okay, I'll risk sounding the complete idiot here.

Where is this "Save all settings" thing anyway?

O God ~ it's not under "startup" in my system,.... although I do *seem to remember* seeing it there in an earlier version of Pd.

Hmm, strange, i know on osx its both in path and startup.
I guess another PC user will have to come in on this.

I don't know for certain if this is the proper way but I went to Startup, under file in pd, and just typed save all settings as a new entry. Now when I start pd, my asio setting is saved. One thing though, it doesn't seem to save my latency settings--still defaults to 70.
