Just received a BlinkM (smart LED) and I was wanting to control it from PD. I have been able to communicate with the arduino board previously using the Pduino code but this BlinkM device is a little tricky as it communicates over I2C. I'm guessing that I will use the "BlinkMCommunicator" sketch that converts the I2C to serial but I'm not sure how to send serial from PD. Has anyone else tried this communication with PD and could point me in the right direction, I know its been done with MAX.

Well I hope this isn't a cop out, but Processing is supposed to be good for it... you could Open Sound Control into Processing?
