I'm trying to connect my bcr2000 controller (via usb). I know i've done this
before (when on 0.38.4, now i'm on 0.40.3 both WinXp versions), but now i doesn't
work anymore.

When i open a patch i see in the console that both midi inputs and 3 outputs are
recognized (with the behringer name, so it's them), but when i try to select an input device in the midi settings menu, both input and output buttons only show "none".

Could this be due to 0.40.3 or does someone have a clue?

PS : i've tried the controller in flstudio and there it works just fine.

To save your midi-settings you have to go to the audio-menu and press "save all settings", thats in Pd version 0.41-4.
In Pd version 0.40.3-extended-20080721 you must go to file/path or startup and press apply.

i'm not sure i understand what you're trying to say... I went to the file/startup window and pressed apply. But i'm still not seeing anythings else besides "none" in the midi settings menu (but apparently pd has found them because it shows them at startup in the console). There are no midi settings to save at all...

Ok, i've investigated a little further and reinstalled 0.38.4 and now everything works as expected. Is this an official bug and should it be reported somewhere (probably on the list but don't really know where)?

I have almost the same problem...upgraded to 0.40.3-extended-20080721 and now it won't send out midi. It seems to be sending data to the [ctlout] objects, but nothing flows through to the midi app (through midi yoke)

Any thoughts?
