Hi all,

I went through all forum, wiki pages, googled if I can find any help, but am still unable to make the MIDI working on my Pd 0.39.3, on OS X 10.4.11. There is nothing to select as MIDI input or output in the preferences, and I honestly don't know what to do to solve this... Any help would be really appreciated..

a) have you got a midi interface plugged in?

have you created an IAC bus in Audio&Midi Setup?

If you have neither of these, then I can imagine that you would have nothing to select in the prefs

I did both boonier, no sound at all.. Can it be something wrong with my computer?

Hmmm errr.....i doubt it. If you can create an IAC bus and its all active it should display in Pd

HAve you got more than 1 version of Pd on your drive? Have you set the startup flag midi to off?

MAybe tries trashing the prefs file for PD, located in ~/Library/Preferences "org.puredata.pd.plist"

before you do the above ^^^^

check that your IAC device is online (you have tick a checkbox)

I am not sure if I got what you mean by this, and how it can be done boonier?

Sorry, not too sure But if you look at Help > HTML there's a bit about startup flags and how to set them from the command line before you launch
