Hello everyone,
on windows 10 & PD 0.54 I'm having the following problems: pd crashes activating dsp from inside the patch. I can still de-activate the dsp toggle in the PD console window but the patch stays stuck anyway.
I tried to reinstall it but the problem remains. When I reinstall it, even if I run a complete uninstall process with revo uninstaller, the "new" installed PD recognizes the previous path preferences, the recent patches, the start-up preferences... why??? are there some hidden preferences to erase? thank you for your help.

btw:... no report on the PD console window...

@stefano_zorzanello I think Pd still stores its Preferences in the registry at......
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Pure-DataAlthough there could well be other copies in LAST_KNOWN_GOOD and elsewhere.
You can search the registry for something that you know is in the Pd prefs so as to find them all.Something has changed in the way Pd talks to the OS since Pd 0.52. Trying to access the Audiosettings dialog within an [audiosettings] external now returns "sys_audioapi could not be located in pd.dll
Anyway, can you open another patch that has no dsp and then relax the latency in Media.... Audiosettings...... setting the Delay (mSecs) to 80 for example... and then click ok without Pd hanging?
You might then be able to open your problem patch.Or maybe Pd needs more time to connect to the audio pins before starting dsp. A delay between [loadband] and [; pd dsp 1( might help.
