Hi there. I have an original object using FFTW. I want to upload it to Deken. However, the object needs FFTW library so when someone uses, he must install the library.

My ideal is that anyone use that externals object just download from Deken without installing FFTW library.

Do you have any good suggestions?

Either compile fftw as a static library or include the dynamic libraries and point the binaries to them (set rpath). pd-lib-builder may have a helper for this, can't remember

If I were you I'd probably go the static route since you are going to include it either way, might even be smaller than distributing the whole library

But it depends how many of your externals use it. If you have more than one maybe use a dynamic shared library of your own that has the necessary functions from the static library, that the necessary externals are linked to (pd-lib-builder can do that)
