Hi!

As mentioned in the title, I am trying to create an auto-wah pedal that uses a resonator filter. This is a school project that I am having trouble with and I would appreciate some feedback. I am using yn = gxn + (2R cos θ) yn−1 − R**2y(n−2) for creating the resonator filter which is then packed into the biquad object appropriately. The trouble comes when connecting the low-frequency oscillator that I created to the actual filter. I also want to be able to change the bandwith, as well as the center frequency for the filter. I didn't download your patch, but I suspect you have some issues with controlling the filter with signals, probably clicks?
Here I've packed two abstractions by Mike-Moser Booth ([filtercoeff.mmb~] and [biquad.mmb~]) into one vanilla abstraction (there are two different versions of this abstraction) without any [expr~] objects. Eight different filter types are possible, including a resonant one. I don't know about the math you mention, all this has been taken care of by Mike-Moser Booth in my abstractions. Anyway, all parameters are controlled by signals.
