I built a simpler sequencer in Pure Data that triggers MIDI notes. A metronome bangs a counter that goes from 1 to 16. Depending on the step, different numbers are triggered, ultimately going to a makenote.

It seems like this is just a series of note on triggers. However, after every beat is hit, I would like an immediate note off to be sent too. Is this possible?

@mobus Use the object [pack] to join the velocity and the note into a list message for [midiout]
This will send the midi note at full volume..... eg 60 127..... and then the note off message 60 0....... 500ms later.
Set the velocity and duration as required.
