A minor issue, but irritating!

Several times when I write lengthy comments in a comment box I end up with a large amount of white space at the bottom of the box. I am using ; to separate lines. No matter what I do the box stays much larger than I want (in fact it seems to grow of its own accord!)

Any ideas?

Further details ... When I click on the comment box in edit mode the outline turns blue. If I do nothing other than click off it so that the box outline changes to a dashed line, the white space gets added to the box below the text.
