Hi everyone,

I've just installed Pd extended 0.39.3 on my MacBook Pro, with OS 10.4.10. Since the fftease objects are not included in the package, I put the ones that I had been using with the previous version into the extras folder. When I tried to use them in Pd, it says; "mach-o but wrong architecture", and cannot create them. I think it is because the objects that I am trying to use are for PPC, but somehow I was able to use them with the previous version. I checked the Lyon's website to see if I can find a universal version of those objects, but could find nothing.

I am going to make a performance on next friday, and the patch that I am planning to use is merely based on those objects!

Any idea of how I can solve that?

You definitely need to recompile them for your new machine. The universal version is the source code. If you cant figure it before next fridays gig then post up a list of all the objects you miss and maybe someone can email you temporary copies for macosx10.

Others can help you better on this one tcihan, but basically you need three things:

1. Get the source code for Mac from Eric Lyon or Christopher Penrose
2. Install the C/C++ compiler on your Mac
3. Add any libraries that FFTease needs

./configure
make
make install

I couldn't actually find the source tarball so you may want to email Eric (who is at Manchester) or Christopher Penrose (who is at Dartmouth). Academic web links are notoriously badly managed and always eventualy end up in 404s, the entropy of the internet.

Thanks obiwannabe, a friend of mine sent an e-mail to Eric Lyon, and he sent the compiled version of those objects to him. so I have them now!

would you mind zipping them up and postign them here? i'd like to have a look too.
