Purr Data got accepted as a mentor organization in Google Summer of Code this year. Yay!

Are you a college student? Do you write Pd patches? Would you like to get paid to write Pd patches this summer?

Then consider applying as a student to GSoC.

Have a look at our project ideas list. You'll notice that some of them can be completed purely with Pd-- no C/C++ required.

Yeah, I think that one is interesting-- it's really a general visual programming problem and I'm not sure there's a decent solution to it so far.

Update...

We've gotten some interest in several of the project ideas listed so far. We've gotten some inquiries about porting K12 mode, making an ASCII art parser, and even the ambitious idea of porting Purr Data to the web.

If anyone has project ideas to add, feel free to post them here or make a merge request for the repo which is here.

I'll just repeat my pitch that if you write Pd patches and are in college, you should definitely apply for GSoC with us.
