Hello,
I don't know if it's PureData issue or a configuration on my Linux PC. I am trying to send a broadcast message via netsend and I get network unreachable message.
Tried connecting to 192.168.1.255 , 255.255.255.255 but no luck.
It works fine on windows, so most probably it's some Linux setup but I have no clue how to set it up.
Any help?

Cannot connect to broadcast ip on Linux via netsend

Sorry for the early bump , it could really help if anyone is on Linux and try . No need for technical details ,I just want to make sure that it's not PD problem avoiding searching the net for network configuration.
Thanks ! -
@korakios There is this...... http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.multimedia.puredata.general/76167
from a long way back. A suggestion that Pd should be run as root....... but also that it works in Linux Pd Extended...... which seems contradictory. Also it is 6 years old.... and nobody has had a problem since then.......?
Also others chipping in for Java and Browser problems......... so it could well be Linux refusing permission to open the port.
You did specify a port? Maybe there is a reserved range?

Ok, I must get rest. It was my patch fault where I had miss-configured the IP address . (local IP address to symbol plus ..255 error )
Bit embarrassed , sorry for the false alarm -
@korakios Hehe...... easily done.
We have all been there, but it can be hard to find in Vanilla (without [rawprint]...!)
