Hi all,

I've used PD for audio for years, but this is the first time I've tried to use Gem. This is a new Windows 10 machine, as far as I can tell I've installed PD itself OK - I'm having no problems with any audio patches.

However - I've tried to use Gem it's not working - giving me gemwin ... couldn't create errors:

I've added the library to startup as per the Gem Readme, I've reinstalled both PD and Gem, and I've tried following all the help other people have had with this - but no luck.

@jamesak What version of Pd have you installed? If "extended" I would have hoped that it would still work "out of the box". Gem was 32-bit though, and dependant totally on OpenGL.

If it is recent? 0.47.1 for example, I have had some success, (even using "spout"!!) by downloading Gem 0.94-test3 from here........ https://github.com/avilleret/Gem/releases/ and pointing Pd at startup with the -lib flag.
You might also need to put this..... this.zip in the 0.94-test3 folder, and the contents of the QT folder need to be tipped into the main folder.

In fact, the file in the zip that I have attached could anyway be the missing link as 0.94-test3 will not work on my 64-bit install without it...... (Mine is win7-64 though..... there could be other /more stuff missing from win10.....like OpenGL).
