Hey!

I'm very new to Pd and trying to control the main volume of RME Fireface 800 audio interface using Pd to send data to midi controller 7.
I found this page with Joshua Schnable's code to send MIDI data to different controllers.
I managed to make it work for me with two problems.
First, I need to limit the controller to 0-104, values higher then 104 bring the volume above 100 percent.
Second, I have to go into settings and change the MIDI output device every time I start the program, the output device defaults to "none". Is there a way to make it permanent?
Any advice will be highly appreciated!

You can set your midi settings from within your patch using [midisettings-help]
and you can limit data output to a range using [min] and [max].....

If you can open [midisettings-help] in this patch and then post the result of clicking on [listdrivers( and [listdevices( I might be able to help more.
Normally cc number 7 is volume control.......... so I have added the limiting [min 104] to the input of [ctrl 7 1] to stop you sending a value higher than 104 to cc7..........

Now, I'm not sure I understand what you asked about midi settings, but this is what I need it to be

Sorry, it's not working on OSX, the midi device defaults to "none".

What about the -midiindev -midioutdev and -mididev flags? I guess you can use them as start-up flags...

I have a patch built with all the events from the PowerMate,
On my mac mini 2012 OS X 10.9.5, I have to quit the powermate app.
Then I start the "oscltr-powermate" app
