Hi there
I am a Game Designer, and would like to try my hand at a music/rhythm game. I am most comfortable with the UDK engine - but i am aware that this isn't considered the best for music games, but i'd like to experiment
Is it possible for me to utilise Pure Data to process a song, outputting information like pitch, tempo, high, low and mid gains etc. to change the game environment or challenge. If you are wondering what I mean then a game like Audiosurf is a great example:
If anyone could tell me if Pure Data is capable of this, point me in the direction of how to do it, or if Pure Data is not best suited to this what is? MaxMSP?
Thanks
