So I just solved my own question - in the recorder in the makefilename object the argument should be "sample%d" and not "sample%1"

I am new to PD and this is my first post. I recently read the book "The theory and technique of electronic music" and right now I am going through every example trying to understand them. Yesterday I started reading D10.sampler. As I started messing around with it trying to understand it, I realized that the recording utility it offers wouldn't work. I tried to troubleshoot it but could not make it.
So far I made sure that the tabwrite block worked by writing a 5Hz sinewave in sample1 table. Then I made sure that I had sound in the tabwrite object the recorder uses and after that I even tried sending a bang "by hand" while there was sound going to the tabwrite block. Does any1 knokw what is wrong with that recorder abstraction?
