Hi all,
Please be gentle - I only started pd last week..I'm trying to achieve a simple pitch shift on a sound sample (<3s), and I'm sure the answer must be out there without me having to delve into the murky world of ffts. I'm able to use line~ and tabread4~ to change the frequency, but this also changes it's length (akin to speeding up an analogue tape). What I want to do is preserve the sample duration and just perform a harmonizing effect to change the perceived pitch. I've looked at I07.phase.vocoder.pd, but to be honest it scared the crap out of me.
Is what I want possible without (re-)learning DSP in depth, or shall I just do with some temporal squeezing instead?

Hi all,
I'm new to pd (very) and can't seem to find the answer to what appears to be a simple problem. I have a 4 channel midi input that needs to play 4 corresponding audio clips (wav) - kind of a dumb sequencer of sorts. Any ideas for doing this?
