    Hey Pure Data forums :)

    I am having some problems building a pitch shifter. I am all new to music computing in general, so I hope what I am try'ing to explain make sense. My problem is somewhat also related to the other music computing program Max/MSP, so I hope anyone knows a little about that too.

    I have attached a picture of the begining setup of a pitch shifter using Max/MSP. It is the outcome of the Max/MSP setup I am try'ing to recreate using pure data.

    My question is about the tapin and tapout objects.

    The [tapin] and [tapout] objects, have I come to the understand creates a delay, and that effect using pure data can be copyed using delwrite and delread.

    [delread~] after [delwrite~] = [tapout]

    [delwrite~] after [delread~] = [tapin]

    I just can't seem to make it work at all. I believe I am connecting the objects wrong or something like that.

    I hope someone is able to give me a hint to how this is done.

    So that means;

    [vd~] after [delwrite~] = [tapout]

    [delwrite~] after [vd~] = [tapin]

    am I getting it right?
