Every time I try to get Pd to output to the IAC bus, I get this error:

could not open midi output 2 (IAC Driver IAC Bus 1): PortMidi: `Invalid device ID'

Pd 0.43.4-extended
OS X 10.8.4

I've tried various things, creating & deleting ports in Audio Midi Setup, turning the IAC bus on and off again, selecting and deselecting things in the Pd Midi Settings, but… nothing works. However, I can use other apps with IAC fine, eg MidiKeys -> Logic Pro works fine.

Any ideas?

Ok, answering own question: never mind. Problem sort of went away, sort of didn't, but I found a different solution to what I was trying to do…

Thanks for your supportive comments. And yes; of course, it never occured to me, of course I must distribute the patch itself! Not used to this sharing culture here, not that I want to keep it to myself, just assume that anything I might hack together is probably rubbish. Yes, I'll put it up, once I figure out somewhere to host the file and how to do that; compress it as a zip, I suppose?
