Thanks!

Hi,
I´m new to PD, so I´m sorry for this noob question.
I made a lot of tutorials and I understand the basic concept of PD.
I already built my own sequencers. Now I wanna go a step further, with sequencing and transposing incoming notes. I did a little research on this with no success. i tried a lot on my sequencer patches - nothing. maybe I´m using the wrong terms while searching? Any Tutorials on this? Please help!
Thanks a lot! -

Hi,
thanks to Maelstorm´s Support in 2 other Threads I created a simple step sequencer, that works a little different to the most common sequencers I know... the patch is quite big, so I will only post a small part of it for my request.
The sequencer works in 2 directions.
the toggles are note ons/offs for one incoming midi note. That works really good. The toggles are controlling in one situation the note length to. But I want to implement note length via the metronome. Both versions are working on it´s own, but I´m struggling with, bringing both together. What I need is a switch from the left sequencing mode to the right mode in the patch - but I want to use just one noteout. It´s important, that the switch is directly before the noteout, that it works together with my other part of the sequencer. I tried to fix that already with some [spigot] and [moses] routings. [route] didn´t work, because it routes the output to different channels. But I need to route one input and bypass the other. That sounds maybe a little weird, my english is not the best. For that reason, i commented the patch. That You can see, what I mean. The other issue is the notein. When I`m sequencing the incoming notes to the toggle sequencer, everything works, like I want. But if the note input is not quantized, sometimes Notes will be played, even though the toggle is off. I know, why that happens, but I don´t have a solution for the problem. I tried to route the notein at another position, but I couldn´t figure out the right way. Can anyone help me please?
Oh, and if someone has a fix for a reset (that the sequence jumps to the start) - that would be great...
Thank´s a lot for any help and sorry for the noob questions. Maybe the solution for both is the easiest thing. I know, that´s a lot for one request, but I´m really new to this.
Oh, and I´m looking for a solution, that works in vanilla!
Thanks a lot again! Please help...
EDIT: The Sequencer plays in some cases the new note too, when the toggles are off. So, the position of the incoming note seems to be completely wrong. Any Idea how to fix that. that´s the biggest problem, without that issue, the sequencer is perfect for me, building chord patterns with multiple instances... So, please please help. I would pay for that, if it´s neccesary

Yes, that´s easy, I know. But I need to switch between the two sources. I need it at this place, because otherwise it will not work EXACTLY i want to. Tried already with [route] and a bypass with [hradio] But if I route it before the note message inlet, then the construction doesn´t work right.
Anyway, thanks!

Thanks a lot, had nearly the same method, but my logic was a little weird.

Hi,
thanks for the quick reply. I figured out everything in the nearly perfect way for me.
But there is one issue, I´m struggling with: I´m working on a simple sequencer , which triggers the same note via toggles. The duration of the note is controlled with these toggles as well. This works so far and was easy to built. Now I try to figure out, how to read the status from the previus step, because i wish that the note is not banging again, if the previus toggle is "on" but the note will continue playing. in this way i have the function to control the note length via my switched toggles. I don´t know, how to explain this better, because my english is not the best.
For better understanding please take a look at the attached Patch.
If there is a better and easier solution like mine, please let me know.
And how to stop everything with the stop-message? When a toggle is active and I stop the metro, the note continues playing.I hope, You can help me. Any suggestions for this patch are welcome!
Thanks!
