still don't know why sometimes shuts down unappropriately

i just went Media->jack and the whole program killed itself

and the "help" option doesn't work too

is there a version for mac that doesnt' behave this way??

i'm an absolute newbie and even though i've been searching round the net and still can't find how to switch from Edit to Run mode...

i like this software a lot from what i heard/seen around and i'd like to study and program it's audio functionalities

i just downloaded pd latest extended version on macosx 10.5

problem is i can't start 'cause it crashes right away if i open a new empty pd file...

has someone already seen this issue?

ok thanxalotot i finally made it to the run mode!..now, what if i wanna record these sounds,is there a way of recording them from inside the mac?...i mean without taking the output from the speakers..

my problem is as soon as i open new a file, with audio on, it just crashes, sometimes earlier, sometimes later but it always crashes and i don't even get the chance to write anyhting!!

when open the window for the setting test they seem to work, but when i open a new file it just goes off

so what do you think is the best way to solve the issue(this is my version: Pd-0.39.3-extended-macosx104-i386.dmg )
