Hi, I've spent the last few weeks writing a VJing patch on a shitty samsung N360 running windows 7.
I'm doing some VJing in London next week and I'm trying to open the patch on my MacBook Pro, having some issues.
Not sure if its possible to simply transfer the file and open, if the patch is compatible between two versions of PD? is this possible and if so how?
Any help would be amazing.
Thanking you in advance.
Much appreciated. -

Hi, I have two laptops on one the screen is really small.
I'm want to rendor all of the GEM output from one machine into the other. Basicly rendor from one [gemwin] to another via TCP.
So far I have connected [netsend] and [netreceive] and I am sending messages but I cant seem to work out how to rendor all info from one gemwin to the other?
or just send all infomation from one console to another?

Hi there, I am developing a performance peace with ableton/GEM.
I am trying to write to a an array which its controlling the and [translateXYZ].
So far so good, I can write to a certain part of my array via midi keyboard, but it only writes to one part of the array... I'd like to write to multiple parts at the same time. I'm using [notein] hooked up to [tabwrite array]
is there anyway to write to multiple parts of the array with one twist of a knob? or one chord on the keyboard.
thanks y'all! -

I very interested in fractal math vs normal geometry. If anyone doesn't know a fractal is basically a mathematical equation found in many many places in nature.
More info here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fractal
and
So does anybody know how to program fractals in PD/GEM. In its rawest form a fractal is only a mathematical equation, so it can't be to hard to program in GEM.
Thanks

Hi, Im new to this forum.. I'm using PD extended 0.42.5 extended. Creating visuals for live performances with ableton live + logic.
Everytime I try to save a patch, the message and number boxes get reset to zero. Which means I spend 3 hours working on the settings, sincing it with ableton act act the when I try to save all the data from the message and numbers boxes are lost.
So I end up opening an almost empty patch and have to start again with all the numbers settings .
THis is very annoying and really stunts my workflow.
anyone knows how to save all of the data from the message/number boxes? please let me know. Thanking you in advance.

Peace.

thanks but I'm trying to write to multiple positions at once, or very quickly at least. e.g. slide a midi knob from 1-127 and have it write at each position, you get me?

Ok thanks I got that but one thing I really need is to have the [pix_image] file open every time I open the patch.
At the moment I have to reload the image into my GEM window everytime I open the patch, (and re-arrange the spatial design of my geos) annoying.

Pritty annoying and time consuming to to hook every number value up to [save.me.mmb]
can't I just click "save" and it saves everything??

Thanks for your help. I'm not sure I understand though, in order to save a patch you need a separate state saving patch? then you must run that patch every time you want to open your patch?
