Hi, I'm new here and just getting started in PD, although I have experience in Max/MSP.

I'm trying to create a semi-random MIDI controller patch that is sending MIDI data over IAC to soft synths hosted in a DAW (Mac) - so far, everything is working well but I haven't managed to figure out how to actually send a note off message to stop my synth patches from playing! Sending a zero velocity message to noteout doesn't do anything as there are continuous random MIDI notes coming in...I tried to gate the incoming MIDI notes such that on a certain bang the gate would shut off the flow of notes to noteout but no luck there either as my synth just hangs on the last note sent.

Any help would be appreciated!
