Hey all,
I have a simple patch that sends MIDI clock messages to Reason through the Apple IAC Driver. I'm using [midiout] and sending [250(, [252(, [251(, and [248( symbols. It works in 0.42.5 but not in 0.43.1. I've read about midiout issues in certain OSes for certain versions but wasn't able to find particular info for OS X. Anybody run into midiout issues on OS X?
The patch I tried is the one boonier posted in this thread http://puredata.hurleur.com/sujet-2090-outputing-midi-clock. As I mentioned, it works perfectly in 0.42.5 but on 0.43.1.
Thanks in advance! I'd really love to switch over to 0.43.1 thanks to the UI improvements and pdlua integration but I'm stuck in 0.42.5 for the moment.

I just wanted to second that this blog is fantastic. My favorite post is the one about using a guitar to drive a synth in PureData, it works fantastically—much better than hacking Reason's Neptune device to work as a pitch detector. I followed the tutorial and made my own variant which I hope to use in a live context soon.
Edit: I wanted to mention that with my audio interface on OS X using Jack as the audio device I can get 10ms or less of latency.

Just to update everyone, _hc in the #dataflow room on freenode helped me out. It ends up that Pd-extended 0.43.1 had a bug in [midiout] that would cause it to spit out random values. He fixed the bug and the fix will appear in tomorrow's nightly build.
