Hi, do you know some way to run pd or pd-extended without jack on the Raspberry PI 3?

Hi, I know this question is not directly related with pd but I hope someone on the list can help me.

I am building a headless system with pd and jack on the RPI3. Over vnc it works flawlessly, but over ssh it doesn't start.

    I launch jack with:

    jackd -P70 -p16 -t2000 -dalsa -dhw:1 -p128 -n3 -r48000 -s &

    and I get:

Audio device hw:1 cannot be acquired...
    Cannot initialize driver
    JackServer::Open failed with -1
    Failed to open server
... a lot of verbose lines

I read that jack is not intended to be used headless, but I am using the patched jack that is supposed to work.

Any ideas? Thank yo very much.

    Hi!

I want to run a pd patch on the RPI3 that uses the makey makey keystrokes as input. I just want to know if the patch run with the -nogui flag still get the keystrokes.

I also want to know how you have managed to run a pd patch on boot on Raspbian Jessie, I have read a lot of forums, but none have worked for me.

    Thank you very much.

    Hi,

I want to route the audio output of a pd patch to a python script using pipe (|) in linux. I am doing it in Terminal and using the -nogui flag.

Do you know how can I set the format of pd's audio output to 16 bit Little Endian and to mimic it as a wav file?

    Thank you

    Hi,

I tried your compiled object, pd finds the object and then throws:
"./py.pd_linux cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

Do you know what can be happening? Thanks

    Hi sunji,

I can't really understand the way it can be done, can you please show me an example?

Hi, very good approach IMO, but I can´t see the patch runing because it can't find Rhythm_rec object (it is in the "detector" subpatch).

Do you know where can I find it?

Hi Wednesday, when I try to open your file, says that the file is corrupt or damaged. Can you upload it again, please?

Im interested in pitch shifting too.

    Thanks.
