I'm a pure data newbie and have a couple of questions about the software. Let me give you a senario that im building towards. I want to build an environment that one can interact with through sound. So for instant the sound of one talking would trigger things like audio and visuals. Is this possible with pure data? Can i create a patch that will measure the volume of sound coming through an microphone and at different volumes trigger off certain events like video?

If this is possible a good ol' nudge in the right direction would be nice.
