Hi All,
I have googled for Hours now and keep finding un-finished threads having the same problem i am having but with no answers! Hopefully someone can finally resolve this issue and people will then use this thread!
Basically I have done the following:
- installed touchosc on the ipad2
- opened the ports on my router and disabled the firewall
- installed midi yoke
- installed pure data on my windows 7 laptop
- opened up mix2-midi.pd in puredata and set the midi settings to use midi yoke 1 for in and out connections
- on my ipad i put the ipaddress and port numbers in and open up the mix2 layout
- in traktor 2 open up controller configuration and choose new generic midi with the in and out set to midi yoke.
But I can't seem to even get any signals through from TouchOSC to PureData.
It keeps saying this error when i load the layout pd.
dumoOSC 8000
... couldn't createCan anyone help?
Thanks

RIGHT!!!!
On my quest to find a template, i stumbled across an explanation of the newer touchOSC. Apparently it can send midi signals directly now and doesn't have to use puredata as the middle man! all you have to do is use rtpmidi to set up a session add your ipad, then in traktor select that session as the midi input. and it all works amazingly! Then by using a decent template you can start dj'ing (http://touchosc-templates.co.uk/?page_id=37)
Thought i would share this in case people stumble across this thread of me rambling and have the same issues i had.

OMG thanks to Zarg and his template: TraktorcontrolipadTemplateA.touchosc i can finally see what is missing.
The mappings on the simple-receive did not have a ctlout command after the 127 command. Now i have no clue what either of them are but the TraktorcontrolipadTemplateA works fine with traktor!
Does anyone have any decent WORKING templates (both the .touchosc and the .pd file). I will email touchOSC and let them know their example .pd files make people go insane for weeks.

Thanks for you reply and sorry for my delayed reply. I have been trying for over a week now and have got somewhere, but now I'm completely stumped.
After trying loads of .pd files i managed to modify one to get it to work in Pure Data ( i have attached it to this post)
I select the simple layout on my ipad and in puredata open up the simple-receive.pd. I can see that all the signals are coming in perfectly fine, when i press a button, or move a slider it is reflected on the laptop.
However the issue is getting the signal through to Traktor. I have tried using midiyoke or midiloop as the puredata midi settings input/output devices, and then i try selecting them in the generic midi controller setting of traktor but still the CRTL light doesnt change. I am using a 64 bit version of windows 7.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
