So I made a synthesiser patch for Pure Data. This is the first patch I have made and there are probably better ones out there.
Check it out if you want. I would be delighted to hear your comments (preferably on the webpage).

I am glad you like it. I haven't really given the patch a name yet. I don't know what to call it.
The randomiser values can be modified but, you have to use the abstractions to do so. I might write a send/receive function to this in the next version.
You are right that the modulators are added to the signal but they are also modifying the carrier. As you can see in the left side of the main interface, each modulator can be lowered in volume. If the volume knob of the modulators are set to 0, the modulator signal will not be added to the output but will modify the carrier. So I guess it's kind of a hybrid FM/additive synthesiser haha.
I might make some improvements to it when I got time
