How's Camomile's wrapper for PD different from libpd?

I.e. would it be feasible to use Camomile like libpd (as a "sound engine")? With some adaptation?

We're also using libpd and noticing that you got past the "single instance" problem of libpd and Pure Data, I was thinking, could some of you be interested in sharing a bit of information about how you did it? Whether it's n-Track Bridge or whatever. We're developing a VST plug-in based on libpd and the "single instance" is currently a huge constrain to our project and we cannot rely on "DAW features" such as n-Track bridge, because we're trying to target multiple hosts.
