    Hello,

I have been working on a sample player and manipulator patch. I have used various patches/abstractions that others have posted. One thing I would like to do is have the sampler display the name of the sound file that it is playing rather than the size. Also wishing that I could save the patch with the files that I have selected rather than loading them each time. And I have read about using arrays. I don't fully understand this object and would like to. I think arrays may help in this patch. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    multijd

    Hello,
I would like to have "readsf~" read .aiff files that I place in a folder without having to enter each name. Is this possible? What if I would like to randomize the order of the playback?
    Thanks for your help,

I have been attempting to create some music with Pd for about two weeks. It is difficult to understand the theory of the program and to solve issues (errors, patches that are downloaded and don't work as they should etc.). Although I appreciate the flexibility, there is what I would term a "steep learning curve" here. I'm not sure how long I can pursue before I have to find an easier way to get to the things I want to do. Ultimately I am in it for the music and the programming part is a tool. I wish there was clearer documentation so that I could get simple answers. Your thoughts would be appreciated.
