i came up with a new question - if i didn't want to load a library at startup, how would i load it manually?

fyi anyone else on my version this would be found in Preferences... Startup and then just type in Gem in the new box.

I'm on Mac 10.15.7 and I tried installing Gem from the package manager. It seems to have put everything in my externals folder no problem, but creating an object called gemwin doesn't do anything.

If I locate the help files however, it is able to load Gem but there seems to be some funky issues happening in the log. The main issue is I want to make sure the path is properly set up though.

For anyone in Toronto (or able to make the trip here), the 6th Annual Sound Travels Intensive is coming up on August 19th, 2014. There is an introductory track on Max baked into the session, but expands further with other areas like Arduino and Field Recording. Unfortunately I don't know if there is anything Pure Data specific, but there's a good chance that some fellow participants use it (like myself).

i'm curious how this would work - combining pure data for the sound engine, and Processing for the graphics into some sort of distributable package.

i'm interested in making a standalone app, and also a vst instrument.

well i think with libpd there will be growing interest in making apps with pure data again.
