Hello, I am new to the forums, so I hope I can find some answers!

I was running pd on Windows 7 no problem, but now I have upgraded to a Windows 8 operating system and am having some troubles. If I open the application it works fine except I get an extra message box (attached image). However, double clicking on a pd file will do nothing and it does not recognize what program to open it with. I have tried to make it a default program to open the file type, but with no success.

Is anyone else having the same problem? I would love this to get figured out as I am using it for a university class. Thanks!
