i just upgraded to ubuntu studio 16.04 and noticed that pd extended was gone
came across this message in syanptic when trying to install it again
"pd-extended:

Package pd-extended has no available version, but exists in the database.
This typically means that the package was mentioned in a dependency and never uploaded, has been obsoleted or is not available with the contents of sources.list
"

my knowledge in pd is fairly limited. after several years of building a modular and maintaining that i just havent had enough time to really delve to deeply into pd. i want to replace the source of a prerecorded wav in a patch to adc so i can use my modular with a couple patches i have been fooling around with. how can i go about doing this..

im having hearing anything
i cant get a sound if i make a basic oscillator or with the audio test
im very new to this
any ideas?
near as i can tell my soundcard works just fine
