I know that the sig~ object converts numbers into an audio signal, but I would like to know what the object is doing in more detail. Would the input of the object be the frequency of the signal? the amplitude? the phase? What aspect of the signal would the input represent.
Would the output of a sig~ object be a sinusoidal signal? would it have a random waveform? or what kind of signal would the output be??

Hi, I've been reading Farnell's book and I noticed that he sometimes connects a cos object to a phasor. I understand that this allows to align the phases of a group of oscillators, but I'd like to know WHY is this a result from making such connection. I'd be very grateful if anyone can explain this to me or at least point me to a source where I can read about it.
