Hello PDers

I am just wondering if their is anyway to remove the audio clicks that are caused when creating a new object/abstraction while computing audio and sending output signal.

Alternatively is there a way to diminish this effect.

Any help would be great.

I am having issues setting up multiple outputs with pd. I have attached 4 speakers to my computer and have them all producing sound on different channels of my soundcard. The problem comes when I try to get audio through all 4 in pd. I have stuffed around with the settings for a long time but still I haven't been able get audio through the 2 rear speakers, the front ones are fine. I have tried changing the sound settings from 2 to 4 channels, switching between mmio and asio outputs, etc.
Any pointers would be nice.

I tried the startup flag -nosleep which seemed to fix the problem, but it means that one core in my cpu is always running at 100%. That would be fine if i was only doing it occasionally (which is the plan, only use that flag when i am performing), other then that ill just leave it off the startup until i perform or i find a different way.

Cheers for the help. I did see that and tried it out on my mac but it didnt make a difference. That is assuming i put in the startup flag properly. I just added -rt after what was already written in the startup flag field within the startup preference menu.

Hi, Im in wollongong and am totally interested in joining a patching circle, even if it is up in sydney. I am a student at UOW studying Sound and have a few friends who are pretty PD savvy who might be interested.

I could listen to this for ages.

no dice there i have tried [dac~ 1 2 3 4] even up to 8 to see if the configuration was wrong but im still only getting the front 2 channels. I stuffed around in the audio settings for about 2 hours trying to configure the audio settings but no luck there either. Thanks for the reply.

Also i should say that i am using Pd version 0.41.4-extended and my platform is a PC with windows XP, soundcard is onboard ASUS motherboard with multiple inputs and audio drivers are Realtek.
