Hi, I'm doing some synth work in time with a video/movie. I want the audio to be generated in real time and so need the video and audio to start in sync.

This led me to GEM, and for some reason when ever I load up an .avi or .mov into pix_movie and open up a viewer window Pure data crashes. I'm running leopard on a mac mini 2.0GHz dual core, and although the graphics specs aren't exactly all that, they should certainly be able to cope with playing back a standard quality video clip.

any help or guidance would be much appreciated.
