Hi all - I'm new to Pure Data and I'm trying to learn my way around by just making as many of my own patches as possible. One thing that is frustrating me at the moment is that if I make a patch I like with certain settings on toggles and sliders etc and then close and reopen it later I have to set all the variables again from scratch. I'm familiar with using loadbangs to dump numbers into objects as soon as a patch opens but I'd ideally like to have something similar to let me simply set up my switches and sliders as I want them and then have them be at the same value when I next open the patch. Is this possible?

Another goal is to learn how to create presets - I'd like to have say a bang object that will cause all the faders and toggles in a patch to jump to certain values. Is this possible as well?

Thanks in advance for helping a new guy out!
