Hi there, I am new to Pure Data and am getting into it on account of the fact that I recently acquired a Critter and Guitari Organelle.
I am pretty new with any kind of processing/synthesis as well - I’ve mostly worked with acoustic instruments.

I am curious, how difficult would it be to create a process/patch in PD that would take a single .wav file and transpose it chromatically across the keyboard of a midi controller (or in this case the keys of an Organelle). I don't mean a process/patch that would simply change the pitch to the corresponding key/note, but something that would keep the length of the file (timestretch?) while playing the intended note. I am not sure if this is the correct term, but I think I can be understood?
I am looking for a process/patch akin to the Korg microSAMPLER or something similar as achieved with sampler in Ableton.

It seems totally possible, but I have virtually no knowledge of PD, so maybe it’s not so easy. Maybe someone has already made a patch that does this?

Let’s say I have something like a .wav file of a tea kettle whistling and I want to play a chord. I want each note that is played in the chord to start and end at the same time - I guess I should also note that polyphony is important, as described here.

If it doesn’t exist, how hard could this be to make? I’m willing to try, but I am not sure where to start.
