i started using pd last year and have learnt a lot so far just from being a serial lurker...but the following problem has got me stumped and the search button hasn't helped, i need to get it sorted as i have a performace in a couple of weeks....

the problem:

i have a basic reactivision -> puredata setup using TUIO, which i want to use moving objects around a table triggering sounds and changing effects like filter cutoff. i have a max of 6 objects.

i have an abstraction which runs fine for a while - until the vertical faders im using suddenly stop responding to their inputs. they still 'work': i can change their values with the mouse or with an input but the bars dont display the changes. this is important for me because they are meant to display the x,y and angle information of objects on the table which i need while performing.

its a strange problem which i can't track down, stranger still because all the bangs still work, just not the faders. I'm not using any 'graph on parent' complications, its just a big basic patch.

i've just finished completely reinstalling OS X, then the latest reactivision and puredata builds and hey presto! same problem.so now i'm using Pd version 0.41.4-extended on OS X 10.5.5 with reacitivision 1.4.

any help getting to the bottom of this would be greatly appreciated.
