Hello, Is anyone aware of a data base that relates existing pd objects to their counterparts in MAX?
I want to create a patch in MAX based on an existing pd patch I've made for diy sensor controllers to talk to Ableton through Arduino. Wanting to see what/if different possibilities may arise when using MAX (and M4L) instead of pd for making the sensor controllers more "playable". Thanks in advance for info.

    Hello,
I have built a midi controller using an arduino (running standard firmata) to get signal into my laptop. I now want to use some hacked buttons from a dead keyboard controller to make buttons that will toggle the track activator buttons on/off in Live to change the sounds the controller plays. I have succeeded in getting ctlout messages into Ableton. It allows me to map to the track activator button and works once but then subsequent button pushes do nothing. What I want to achieve ultimately is a toggle - one button push turns it on next button push turns it off...or vise versa depending on initial state of button.
I'm not very clear on cc numbers and how to use and am fairly new to pd so I'm stuck.
I'm using cc#80 a generic on/off but I don't get how to make it reverse its operation on the second push of the button.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I am unclear if this is a n Ableton issue or pd.
Thanks in advance. Trying to get this project finished for an exhibit this saturday.

p.s. I attached a photo of the controller beast I'm building!

    Hello pd forum,
I'm working on a multi-sensor project with Arduino running Standard Firmata to a pduino patch into Ableton. I've got the first sensor working fine (an infrared proximity sensor). But when I try to add another sensor to the mix I can't get it to work. I've tried doubling up sensor inputs on a breadboard running to same analog in pin and tried using a separate second analog input pin for second sensor but neither works. Any suggestions? I suspect the problem is with my pd patch. I've attached a screen shot of the single sensor patch that works. Help greatly appreciated. I am new to learning pd so this may be a simple problem.
This patch is a simplified version of pduino. I copied it from a tutorial which suggested the simplification. Perhaps this is the problem. The other weird thing is that although I am running the one sensor into analog input 2 on the Arduino it doesn't work unless pin 4 is enabled for analog input too, even though there is nothing physically connected to that input on the Arduino. Any explanations for that?
Thanks in advance for any help.

I did just find this on another post.

Somewhat helpful. Wishing there was a magic list that went object to object comparison...

Hells to yeah!! It's working. I'd buy you a beer if you were near.
    Thanks so much.

so Gromit, this is working in theory i.e. when I bang it manually it does what I want. But when I trigger it with the switch it works the first time then it just flashes it on/off but doesn't stay in the other state. I'm wondering if it is the nature of the switch. They are soft contact switches hacked from a broken midi controller, so initally meant for notes. If I hold it down then it stays in the alternate state but after the initial push it just flashes. I guess maybe I can't use these sadly and have to purchase switches that will latch alternately on or off with every push of the button. Unless you can think of some pd magic code to get around this.

Dear Gromit, this looks promising. I'll go try it with the set up and let you know. If it works I am forever indebted!!!
    Thanks,
